Sell Pokémon Cards

A South Florida Destination for Selling Pokémon Cards. Every Era. Every Rarity. Every Grade.

A 1st Edition Charizard is not a "vintage trading card." A PSA 10 Moonbreon is not a "holographic Pokémon." And your collection is not worth whatever a generic pawn counter offers after a ten-second glance. Balili Jewelry & Pawn is South Florida's specialist buyer for Pokémon TCG cards — from Base Set to Scarlet & Violet, raw binders to graded slabs, single chase cards to thousand-card collections. We know what your cards are worth because we track the same markets you do.

Not Every Buyer Understands What You Are Selling

The Pokémon TCG market has evolved into a legitimate alternative asset class. A PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator sold for $16.49 million at Goldin Auctions in February 2026. A 1st Edition Shadowless Charizard in Gem Mint condition trades in the $500,000–$600,000 range. Even modern Special Illustration Rares from recent sets command hundreds to thousands of dollars in graded condition.

This is not a hobby market anymore. It is a financial market — and selling into it requires a buyer who operates at that level.

Most general buyers — pawn shops, flea market dealers, online "we buy everything" operations — lack the specific knowledge to evaluate Pokémon cards accurately. They cannot distinguish a 1st Edition stamp from an Unlimited print. They do not know that a Shadowless Base Set has a thinner HP font and no drop shadow on the illustration frame. They have never heard of a Gold Star Umbreon, and they do not understand why population counts on the PSA Census matter.

Balili Jewelry & Pawn does. And that knowledge directly affects how much money you walk out with.

What We Buy

We evaluate every category in the modern Pokémon TCG market — from 1999 print runs to today's chase pulls.

Vintage (1999–2003)

Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket, Gym Heroes, Gym Challenge, Neo Genesis, Neo Discovery, Neo Revelation, Neo Destiny, Expedition, Aquapolis, Skyridge. These early sets contain some of the most valuable cards in the hobby. 1st Edition holos, Shadowless prints, Crystal-type cards from the e-Reader series, and Shining cards from Neo all carry serious market value. Even non-holo rares and uncommons from these sets can be worth submitting for grading.

Gold Star Era (2004–2007)

EX-era sets including EX Team Rocket Returns, EX Deoxys, EX Dragon Frontiers, and others containing Gold Star cards — identifiable by the star symbol next to the Pokémon's name. Gold Star Charizard, Umbreon, Espeon, Mew, Rayquaza, and the complete Eeveelution set are among the most sought-after cards in the entire TCG. Low PSA 10 populations make Gem Mint examples exceptionally valuable.

Modern Chase Cards (2020–Present)

Alternate Art cards, Special Illustration Rares (SIRs), and Trainer Gallery cards from Sword & Shield and Scarlet & Violet era sets. The Umbreon VMAX Alt Art from Evolving Skies ("Moonbreon") trades at $4,000+ in PSA 10. The Charizard ex SIR from Obsidian Flames commands $400–$900 graded. Iono SAR from Paldea Evolved, Lillie SR from GX Battle Boost, and Eevee Heroes chase cards all carry premium valuations.

Graded Slabs

PSA, BGS (Beckett Grading Services), and CGC graded cards in any grade. PSA 10 Gem Mint and BGS 10 Pristine/Black Label cards command the highest premiums, but even lower grades on the right cards carry substantial value. A PSA 7 1st Edition Base Set Charizard still clears $10,000+.

Sealed Product

Unopened booster packs, booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, blister packs, and sealed collections. Vintage sealed product — particularly Base Set, Fossil, and Team Rocket packs with identifiable artwork — commands extraordinary premiums. Modern sealed product from short-print sets also carries value above retail.

Complete and Partial Collections

Full binders, bulk sorted by set, master sets, and mixed lots. We evaluate every card individually — we do not offer flat per-card rates that ignore the chase cards buried in your collection.

Japanese Pokémon Cards

Japanese-language cards from all eras, including trophy cards, promos, and exclusive sets never printed in English. The Japanese card market has its own pricing structure, and we evaluate accordingly.

How We Evaluate Pokémon Cards

The difference between a $5 card and a $5,000 card can come down to details that are invisible to the untrained eye. Here is what we assess:

  • Set, Print Run, and Variant. A Base Set Charizard exists in three distinct print variants: 1st Edition (most valuable), Shadowless (second), and Unlimited (third). The visual differences between them are subtle — the presence or absence of a shadow line, a small "1" edition stamp, font weight variations. Misidentifying the variant can swing the value by tens of thousands of dollars. We identify every variant correctly.
  • Condition Assessment. For raw (ungraded) cards, condition determines everything. We examine centering (front and back), surface scratches, edge whitening, corner wear, and print defects. A card that looks "mint" to a casual eye may have centering issues that would limit it to a PSA 8 — and the price difference between a PSA 8 and a PSA 10 on a valuable card can be 5–50x.
  • Grading Verification. For slabbed cards, we verify the label, grade, certification number, and slab authenticity. Counterfeit slabs are an increasing problem in the market, and we confirm every piece.
  • Market Pricing. Every offer is tied to real recent sales data — eBay sold listings, TCGPlayer market pricing, auction house results, and PriceCharting verified sales. Not asking prices. Not optimistic estimates. Actual completed transactions.

Why Sellers Choose Balili Jewelry & Pawn

Immediate Payment

No consignment waits. No auction timelines. No buyer-backed-out scenarios. You receive your cash during the visit.

Single-Transaction Convenience

Selling a large collection online means photographing hundreds of cards, creating individual listings, shipping with insurance, handling buyer disputes, and paying platform fees (eBay takes 13%+, TCGPlayer takes a percentage plus shipping). Selling at Balili Jewelry & Pawn means walking in with your cards and walking out with cash.

Volume Capability

We buy single cards and we buy entire collections. If you have a collection that is too large for a single eBay listing to handle efficiently, we can evaluate and purchase the whole lot — including the bulk alongside the chase cards.

No Pressure

You receive a market-based offer. You can accept, decline, or take time to compare. We expect informed sellers to shop around, and we are confident in what we pay.

Selling vs. Getting a Collateral Loan on Your Cards

Selling Your Collection

If your Pokémon card collection has significant value but you are not ready to part with it permanently, consider a collateral loan. You borrow against the collection's value and reclaim it when the loan is repaid. This is particularly relevant for collections that are appreciating — vintage sets and key graded cards have trended upward consistently.

Borrowing Against It

Both options are available at Balili Jewelry & Pawn.

What Most People Get Wrong About Selling Pokémon Cards

"My cards are from 1999, so they must be valuable."

Era alone does not determine value. Most common and uncommon Base Set cards in played condition are worth $1–$5. The value concentrates in holo rares, 1st Edition prints, and cards in exceptional condition.

"I looked up the price on eBay and saw $500."

Asking prices on eBay are meaningless. Only completed/sold listings reflect actual market value. A card listed at $500 that never sells is a card worth less than $500.

"I don't want to sell my Charizard separately."

Your Charizard might be 90% of your collection's value. Selling it as part of a bulk deal often means accepting a discount on your best card. We evaluate every card individually and can structure purchases that recognize the standout pieces.

"South Florida has one of the most active Pokémon TCG communities in the country. Between Wynwood card lounges, weekly league play across Miami-Dade, and a constant flow of collectors and tourists, the demand for quality Pokémon cards is strong year-round. Balili Jewelry & Pawn operates within this ecosystem as a professional buyer with the volume, knowledge, and capital to handle transactions from a single slab to an entire estate collection."
