When families call us
Someone has passed away, and the house is full of things nobody is sure how to price. A jewelry box in a bedroom drawer. A watch in a safe. Coins, silver flatware, a guitar in the closet, a shoebox of baseball cards.
Most families are not sure what is valuable and what is not. They also have other things to deal with. Moving all of it to a store is not always practical, and neither is guessing.
That is the reason we come to the home.
What we evaluate
We look at anything with real resale or metal value, including:
- Jewelry: rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, loose stones and diamonds
- Watches: luxury and vintage watches, pocket watches
- Gold, silver and platinum: scrap jewelry, coins, bars, flatware, and other items
- Collectibles: sports cards, Pokémon cards, PSA-graded cards, and similar items
- Other valuables: guitars, designer goods, and other items we may be interested in
We won't make an offer on everything. If something isn't a fit for us, we'll say so plainly.

How we value what we find
Each type of item is valued differently, so we explain our reasoning as we go.
Gold, silver and platinum
Gold, silver and platinum are valued by purity and weight, based on the current market price. That's why we show live gold and silver prices on our site.
Diamonds and gemstones
Diamonds and gemstones depend on the size, cut, color and clarity of the stone, and on whether it comes with a grading report.
Watches
Watches depend on the brand, model, condition, age, and whether the box, papers or original parts are still there.
Trading cards
Trading cards depend on the card, the edition, the condition, and the grade if it has been professionally graded.
Selling versus keeping
Families often want to keep a few sentimental pieces and sell the rest. That's a normal way to do it.
You can point out what stays in the family before we start. We'll only make offers on what you'd like to sell.
